Does knowing that the Narnia books have religious comparisons change how much you like them?

A little bit of back story. As most of you probably know, the Narnia books have a lot of things that are kind of the same to stuff in the bible (Aslan is Jesus, Aslan's land is heaven, etc). If you don't, there are lots of site about it. Anyway. A couple of weeks ago, I was talking to my friend about the books, and I mentioned those religious things, and she immediately told me to stop talking about it because she didn't want me to "ruin" the series for her. I don't mind the religious stuff, I think it's interesting, and I like them the same. I was just wondering if how much you liked them or what you thought of them changed when you learned about it.
