Should i call off the engagement. Would this be a deal breaker?

I'm 24 and the man i have been dating for a year and a half hasnt introduced me to any of his friends and family. We always eat lunch inside his car. He just doesnt show me the public affection that i need. he wont even hold my hand. and he doesnt tell people that we're dating. this BOTHERS me. im the type of peson where i love public displays of affection and i dont think i can handle this. and plus on his fb it says single. I kept on telling myself he would change but he never did. i thought we would always end up together since i had a crush on him ever since i was 15. i thought it was fate thatt we kept bumping into each other for years.
